An untitled Song

She pushed me back,

she said, Dave just go away

I let her down

that’s the price we had to pay

we wanted too much to carry around

too much to love, but not enough to keep

so common, too used, we just can’t go on.

I’m just so tired

I just want to sleep

I’m so fucking tired

a little rest is all that I need.

You tried so hard

but I pushed, pushed so much harder

I want it all

So much more than you can give

Please don’t go, I can’t really stay

I needed someone, let go of my hand

We’re not at that point, for us nothing’s left

I’m just so tired

I just want to sleep

I’m so fucking tired

A little rest is all that I need.
